Arsenal are determined to sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans despite the recent purchase of Fabio Vieira from Porto.
The Gunners recently sealed a surprise transfer for Vieira. The move definitely came out of the blue with no speculation whatsoever.
Vieira is an attacking midfielder by trade, who can also play up front. As per Goal, his arrival won’t impact the pursuit of Tielemans.
Tielemans can also operate from the number 10 position, but the Gunners see him as a regular for the central and defensive midfield roles.
Talks are only at the representative level at the moment, but they are expected to make a formal approach to the Foxes in the coming days.
With just a year left on his contract, the Gunners may seek to lower the overall valuation of the transfer. The Foxes value him at £30 million.
Aside from Tielemans, the Gunners have also been touted to sign Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus in a deal worth £50m.
