Arsenal have reportedly submitted a fresh transfer offer for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez.
The Gunners are looking to bolster different positions this summer, and prefer to complete their transfer business early.
They have already signed Marquinhos from Sao Paulo while Fabio Vieira‘s arrival could be confirmed by tomorrow.
More signings are expected over the coming weeks, and one of those could be Martinez, who is keen on joining the club.
The Argentina international has given the go-ahead for the move, and it is now left for the Gunners to negotiate a suitable fee.
Their opening bid of £26m was snubbed by Ajax yesterday and they have now lodged an improved offer of around £30m.
Martinez is a left-footed central defender, who can also play as a left-back.
He should provide quality depth and could see more minutes from the left-back spot due to Kieran Tierney‘s fitness issues.
