Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri is reportedly keen on reuniting with manager Maurizio Sarri at Lazio.
Sarri previously managed Chelsea for a solitary campaign between 2018 and 2019. He has since been linked with signing several Blues players.
One of them has been Emerson, who is looking for a fresh challenge.
He was loaned out to Lyon during the previous campaign, but the French outfit decided against triggering the buy-out clause that was available.
The Italian has returned to the west London giants as a result, but he could be on the move soon with Sarri keen on a reunion with him at Lazio.
Emerson’s current deal with the Blues expires in June 2024. Lazio are likely to propose a season-long loan with an option to buy.
It remains to be seen whether the Blues consider the proposal. They could be tempted to offload him on a permanent basis this time.
Juventus and Napoli have also been credited with an interest in him.
