Chelsea are reportedly planning a summer move for Leicester City centre-back Wesley Fofana.
The centre-back joined the Foxes from Saint-Etienne last year, and had a wonderful debut campaign.
He was linked with a big-money move elsewhere this summer, but ended up suffering a serious injury.
Fofana is currently out until 2022 with the setback, but he continues to be adored by Europe’s elite clubs.
Real Madrid and Manchester United are admirers of the 20-year-old while the Blues are already planning a bid.
The west London giants have made initial contact with his representative to jump ahead in the player’s pursuit.
Fofana has four years remaining on his existing deal. The Foxes will command a premium price next summer.
They sanctioned Harry Maguire‘s sale to United for £78m in 2019, and are expected to hold for a similar price tag.
The Blues have the financial power to land his services. The Frenchman is eyed as a replacement for Antonio Rudiger.
