Chelsea are planning to renew the contracts of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano claims.
The Blues won the Champions League for the second time in their history last term. Kante and Jorginho were instrumental in midfield.
Both players continue to remain undisputed starters when fit, and the Blues are preparing to extend their respective contracts soon.
Kante’s current deal expires at the end of next season. He is reportedly willing to sign a new long-term deal with the club.
Jorginho’s contract also concludes in June 2023. There is some uncertainty over his future amid recent comments from his agent.
There has been plenty of speculation that Jorginho would like to return to Serie A during the back end of his playing career.
Napoli are open to the prospect of re-signing him. It remains to be seen whether the Blues can convince him to stay longer.
Jorginho was recently named the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year.
