Marco Asensio is prepared to snub interest from Arsenal and Manchester United to stay with Real Madrid, AS reports.
The Spaniard has 12 months remaining on his contract, and it was recently claimed that he could make the switch to the Premier League.
The Gunners were deemed as favourites to sign him, but it now appears he could prolong his stay with the 14-time European champions.
Los Blancos don’t plan to sign any attacking players this summer, and this has urged Asensio to re-consider his decision to leave the club.
The move may not come as a big blow for the Gunners, considering they have an agreement in place to sign Fabio Vieira from Porto.
The 22-year-old had a solid 2021/22 season with seven goals and 16 assists, and he could prove a better signing than Asensio for Arsenal.
Meanwhile, United have also been linked with the former Mallorca youngster, but they have several other players on their transfer radar.
United have been fancied to sign Ajax’s Antony in recent weeks.
